Lets start with the venue ...
The show was schedule to start at 2:00 pm, there was people constantly walking down the stairs until 2:30 pm. My seat was right on the aisle and for the first 30 minutes of the show I got to look at peoples backs as they tried figuring out the location of their seat or try to figure out walking down the stair while holding on to their nachos, popcorn and soda.
I'm not sure why people where so unpunctual/rude diring this show. I've been to four other shows and I have never seen anything like this! I think the problem with arena seating. The arena is responsible for crowd controls and to make sure people are seated by the time the show starts and they really don't take on this responsibility. Also, with arena seating you will be alot farther to the stage than if you where watching the show under the blue and yellow tent for the same price point ticket.
Now on with the show ....
I learned about Cirque du Soleil when I watched an taping of Alegria on PBS about 15? years ago and I've wanted to see the show live ever since. The acts where more of the same, the show felt a bit dated and the story wasn't as easy to follow. I have the 1994 release of the Soundtrack CD and really missed Francesca Gagnon as "the white singer". Now as I said before, I've watched this show on tape and though I understand the show has to change over time, it seems as if parts of the show where no longer there, maybe the show was slightly different during the taping to jazz it up a bit.
The clowns where great and the flying man was a different take on that type of act.
In conclusion if you have never been to one of their shows, this isn't a bad show to see. If you been to other shows under the blue and yellow tent I would suggest passing this one up.
